La dynastie inconnue qui règna sur le Japon
Minamoto, Ashikaga et Tokugawa, sans oublier évidemment les empereurs, le Japon a été gouverné par des dynasties qui forment les différentes périodes de son histoire. Il y a cependant une autre dynastie, celle-ci n’est pas secrète mais elle a longtemps été camouflée et reléguée à l’arrière-plan de l’histoire. C’est peut-être parce qu’il ne s’agissait pas d’une dynastie d’hommes mais d’une dynastie de femmes : les impératrices Fujiwara. -

Devenir shogun : portrait de Tokugawa Ieyasu en 5 batailles
La plus simple notice biographique vous dirait que Tokugawa Ieyasu est un des personnages clés de l’histoire japonaise, premier shogun d’Edo, Pour beaucoup, même aujourd’hui, Tokugawa Ieyasu assume l’image d’un grand-père de la nation dont les réussites et les vertus seraient à imiter. C’est aussi un homme ayant une très longue vie puisque né en 1543 il s’éteint à 73 ans en 1616. -

Gouverner les guerriers : l’époque Kamakura (1/2)
Contrôler et gérer leurs propres vassaux a été le principal défi de la plupart des seigneurs et des différents shogunat, chacun avec leurs spécificités imposées par les conditions du temps. Le premier shogunat, celui de Kamakura (1192-1333), fut le moment fondateur où furent élaborés pour la premuère fois les principes pour (bien) gouverner les guerriers. -

La fabrique de l’histoire du Japon : le taiga drama
Le taiga drama (大河ドラマ), ou série fleuve, désigne un genre plutôt qu’une véritable série. Chaque année depuis 1963, la chaîne nationale NHK produit une saison racontant la vie d’un personnage historique japonais. Le taiga drama a été le rendez-vous de générations de Japonais. -

Ashikaga Yoshihisa, le déclin d’une dynastie
Le 11 décembre 1465 naquit Ashikaga Yoshihisa qui devint ensuite le 9e shogun Ashikaga. Durant toute l’histoire du Japon une naissance a rarement été autant attendue, ni eu autant de conséquences, que celle du jeune Yoshihisa. Le jeune espoir de la nation, sauveur potentiel de sa maison dut faire face à une époque en pleine transformation. -
Epoque moderne (Kinsei)
Les Japonais à la découverte du monde
La période Edo nous a accoutumé à l’idée d’un Japon ancien fermé sur lui-même et par essence peu curieux sur le reste du monde donc peu porté sur les voyages. Bien avant la fermeture du Japon, à plusieurs reprises les Japonais surprirent le monde avec des voyages audacieux ou des destins extraordinaires de véritables découvreurs.
